The Congress seems confident of wresting power in the Assembly elections and fighting the notification of the CWDT Award politically and legally.
MP A H Vishwanath told reporters here on Thursday that a few Kannada forums have moved away from their primary objectives and are playing into the hands of former PM Deve Gowda.
Urging the state government to file a review petition in the apex court against the notification of the award, he said that lack of political will and commitment of the state government has gone against Karnataka in the Cauvery row.
Citing various international water disputes that have been legally settled, he averred that there would be a solution for the Cauvery dispute if the state presents the ground reality before the SC. He urged the government to take a firm stand.
