“As Chief Minister I have decided to end the miseries of the poor of all castes with Basavanna’s philosophy of social justice,” Siddaramaiah said here on Sunday.
At a mass marriage programme held near Hondada circle, the CM said the people have given absolute power to a single party to rule the state without corruption, nepotism and scams like in the previous BJP government.
“The state government from July 1 will distribute 150 ml of milk to students from standard I to X and we will buy nine lakh litres from Karnataka Milk Federation,” Siddaramaiah said.
“The people of the state, Sonia and Rahul Gandhi have made me the CM and our government will not disappoint their aspirations,” he said.
He said that Horticulture Minister Shamanur Shivashankarappa has been a great strength to the Congress and a source of inspiration for youngsters.
