BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will address a rally here on November 16, senior party leader Venkaiah Naidu said on Monday.
The state BJP core committee has decided to invite Modi to address public meetings in Bangalore and other places in the state.
“Modi will address nine rallies in two months in the state,” he added.
BJP national leaders, including party president Rajnath Singh, Opposition Leader in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and leader L K Advani, would also participate in the meeting.
The state unit also planned to hold meetings of BJP workers in Lok Sabha constituencies and at district and taluk levels in the next two months.
“We will place a comparative report of the performance of the previous NDA government with that of the present UPA government before people,” Naidu said.
Denying Union Minister Jairam Ramesh’s statement that the next elections would be a fight between the RSS and the Congress, the BJP leader said: “The RSS will not enter electoral politics. The RSS and the BJP are different entities.”
On the Telangana, the BJP leader said: “The Congress is treating the issue as its internal issue.”
