BANGALORE: IAS officer Rashmi V, who was allegedly sent on leave by the State government, has been given a posting after four months.  The government issued an order on Saturday posting Rashmi to Administrative Training Institute (ATI) Mysore.

The order states: “Rashmi V Mahesh, Secretary to Government, Health and Family Welfare Department (Medical Education), presently on child care leave, is posted with immediate effect and until further orders as Director General, AIT, Mysore... relieving M V Jayanthi, IAS of additional charge.” When contacted, Rashmi told Express: “I have no information about the posting yet.” Sources close to her said she has no plans to cancel her leave. Rashmi was allegedly asked by the Chief Secretary to go on leave in March. Then she applied leave for three months. She  sought leave for a year under child care.

A senior IAS official who worked as Director General, ATI, Mysore told Express, “There is nothing much to do in AIT....It is nothing but a teacher’s job.”
