MYSURU:Writer D Javare Gowda said on Sunday that he does not have faith in Hindu Gods as the religion is based on “discrimination”.
He was speaking after being felicitated at a programme organised by the Kannada Catholic Christian Association to mark his birth centenary celebrations. Stating that a religion (Hinduism) which practices discrimination is not a true religion, he said Christianity should have spread world wide. “If Christianity had spread across India, it would have been good,’ he added.
He said, “For the last 25 years, I have been worshiping Jesus Christ.”
District Minister V Srinivasa Prasad said every individual should respect other religions without hurting people’s sentiments.
“India is a country of diverse cultures ... For every individual there is a need for a religion. Every individual should respect other religions,” he added.
