Bengaluru bound flight makes emergency landing

A Jet Airways flight, carrying 147 passengers and eight crew members, from Kolkata to Bengaluru made an emergency landing in Hyderabad on Saturday night due to a technical fault in its landing gear.

BENGALURU: A Jet Airways flight, carrying 147 passengers and eight crew members, from Kolkata to Bengaluru made an emergency landing in Hyderabad on Saturday night due to a technical fault in its landing gear. All the passengers and crew members are stated to be safe.

According to airport officials, the Boeing 737-800 series flight numbered S-24364, started from Kolkata at 6.20 pm.The pilot informed the Air Traffic controller after detecting a problem with the landing gear hydraulics.The ATC declared an emergency at 8:35 pm and the flight made an emergency landing at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad at 8:44 pm.

All passengers were de-boarded, and were provided accommodation.They will be continue their onward journey on Sunday.
