BELAGAVI: Snake rescuer Anand Chitti was left astonished after rescuing a yellow rat snake here on Thursday. “Never have I heard about the existence of a completely yellow coloured rat snake or seen one in this country”, he said.
Chitti was asked to rescue a snake from Sahyadri Colony in Angol area. The rescued yellow rat snake is about 45 inch in length and about three years old.
Chitti told Express, “There are yellow rat snakes with black stripes on them in places like South Florida but this one is totally in yellow colour.” Chetti, added that the colour of the tongue and eyes of the rescued snake were also different from other rat snakes.
