HUBBALLI: Kamaripet police arrested three people for carrying Rs 30 lakh unaccounted money here on Wednesday night.
DCP (law and order) Jinendra Khangavi said the trio were transporting the money in new Rs 2,000 notes on a bike. The DCP, however, declined to divulge further details as police are yet to register a case against them. All the three are residents of Hubballi, he said.
Recently, Suburban police of Dharwad arrested two people who were allegedly transporting Rs 47 lakh. Kundgol police had also recovered Rs 2 lakh illegal money.
