MYSURU: Former minister V Srinivas Prasad, who is all set to join BJP, continued his tirade against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC chief G Parameshwara on Tuesday.
In reply to Siddaramaiah’s statement that he is going to a party which is against social justice, Prasad said no one is the sole custodian of social justice.
In a fresh revelation, he said Siddaramaiah, after being sacked from JD(S), had approached BJP patriarch L K Advani, seeking his support to become chief minister. But Advani wanted to know how many JD(S) MLAs are with him and asked him to prove it.
He heaped praise on BJP, RSS and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “BJP is not an untouchable party and Modi has huge respect for B R Ambedkar. RSS is changing and it should transform,” he said.
He said Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has made people sweep streets which was earlier done by only one particular community.
Ducks questions on internal reservation, Ghar Wapsi
Prasad refused to comment on issues like ‘Ghar Wapsi’ and internal reservation. To a query on whether BJP is a communal party or not, Prasad who used to strongly criticise the ideology of the saffron party, said he will not say whether it is communal or not, but he went on to say that if it was communal, then people like Farooq Abdullah, George Fernandes and Mamata Banerjee would not have joined hands with it.
He likened KPCC chief G Parameshwara to a headmaster of a deaf and dumb school for not raising his voice after he was denied CM post. Training his guns on PWD Minister H C Mahadevappa, he said he is meant to carry suitcases to the Congress high command. Prasad said former MUDA chairman C Basavegowda will also join BJP with him.
