BENGALURU: A complaint has been filed against Chief Minister Siddarmaiah’s media adviser Dinesh Aminmattu by the BJP Yuva Morcha here on Monday.

BJP MLA Vijaykumar and other forum members alleged that Aminmattu had made derogatory comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The remark was in response to a comment to his Facebook post by one Venkatesh Lakkanagoudr. The post had criticised the ban on a TV channel.

Lakkanagoudr had questioned whether Aminmattu forgot the imposition of emergency by Indira Gandhi. In response, he had posted: “You know what happened to Indira Gandhi in the end? Do you wish the same for Modi too?”

The comment was shared widely on social media on Sunday. On Monday, in another post, Aminmattu contended that his comments were quoted out of context.
High Grounds police said though a complaint has been filed, the FIR is yet to be registered.
