Plaint against crew of TV channel

RAICHUR : Education Minister Tanvir Sait has lodged a complaint against a Kannada news channel reporter and cameraman at the West police station here in connection with airing of a report on his alleged watching of a porn video during a Tipu jayanti event.

The minister first approached the local JMFC court which in turn directed the police to book the case. In his complaint, the minister said “the reporter and cameraman have shown me as watching porn on my mobile. It has tarnished my image. I have not committed any mistake but the channel has shown it with a malafide intention”.

Additional Superintendent of Police SB Patil told Express that the complaint has been registered under the section 504 of the IPC, which is related to insult and criminal intimidation.

‘Action on Sait after report from Raichur’ Bengaluru: Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara said on Saturday that they will decide the future course of action against Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait after they receive a report from the Raichur district administration.
