Man accused of killing tiger commits suicide
Mysuru: Venkata Shetty (52), prime accused in the shooting and killing of a tiger in Maddur forest range in Bandipur National Park,  committed suicide by hanging himself in his fields.

Venkata Shetty, a resident of Hoonagahalli, was picked up by the Forest Department along with Manju, as they were suspected of killing the tiger. Though they had come out on bail, the prime accused committed suicide on Thursday .

The suicide has given room for suspicion as  Manju has charged that forest personnel falsely accused them in the case and forced them to admit to a crime that they had not committed.
Manju said that they live a quiet life in land sanctioned by the government. He added that forest personnel are keen to cover up the case and have thus made them victims for no reason.
