BENGALURU: The 44 Gujarat Congress MLAs, who were huddled in a luxury resort on the outskirts of the city, left for Ahmedabad late on Sunday night. They will reach early on Monday and will be housed in a resort from where they will be taken directly to Vidhana Sabha to enable them to vote on Tuesday in the Rajya Sabha election, sources in state Congress said.
The MLAs were ‘moved’ to Bengaluru on June 29 apprehending ‘poaching’ by the BJP, which is determined to ensure the defeat of Ahmed Patel, political secretary to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who is the Congress candidate in the Rajya Sabha poll.
