Officials grill Yedyurappa’s personal assistant for over six hours

Investigating officials in the kidnap attempt case of BJP leader K S Eshwarappa’s PA Vinay Kumar grilled BJP yuva morcha general secretary and former chief minister B S Yedyurappa’s aide.

BENGALURU: Investigating officials in the kidnap attempt case of BJP leader K S Eshwarappa’s PA Vinay Kumar grilled BJP yuva morcha general secretary Rajendra Urs and former chief minister B S Yedyurappa’s personal assistant Santosh for more than six hours on Friday.

The duo appeared before Malleswaram ACP Anand Badiger Naik, who is the investigating officer. Santosh had earlier told officials that he did not know Rajendra Urs, but on Friday he accepted that he knew Urs after police showed evidences to him.

Santosh was accompanied by two lawyers during the questioning. The questioning started around 10.30am and ended at 4.30pm. Statements from the duo were taken. However, the police sources did not divulge the information whether they questioned about the alleged CD that led to the kidnap attempt of Vinay.The sources said that both have been summoned to appear before the police on Saturday too.
