BENGALURU: The BJP will start an agitation to demand the resignation of Ministers D K Shivakumar and Ramesh Jarkiholi on August 18.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa said they will start with a procession from Freedom Park demanding the resignation of the two ministers who have been the targets of Income Tax raids. “We will head towards Vidhana Soudha and surround it. For the next one week, protests, rallies, and meetings will be held in each constituency and we will not stop until these two resign. There are other ministers who are corrupt and we will reveal their details,” he said.
Earlier in the day, Yeddyurappa and senior leader R Ashoka toured rain-hit areas of the city. Both criticized the government for not taking adequate measures like clearing the silt from drains.
