Jewels worth Rs 11L robbed from broker

BENGALURU: In a case of attention diversion, a pawn broker was robbed of jewels worth `11 lakh in Puttenahalli on Thursday. Chandrashekar, a resident of Kothanur, who runs a jewellery shop in Tilak Nagar had gone to a bank in Konanakunte around 2pm to get the receipt of a tax that he had paid in the morning. By the time he returned, his two wheeler was punctured. He took the vehicle to a nearby garage.
While the mechanic was fixing the wheel, a person come to the mechanic, asking for an address. When the mechanic went inside his shop, thieves took away 350 gram gold and ` 1.1 lakh was kept in Chandrashekar’s vehicle.Puttenahalli police have registered a case.

Man found murdered in house, dad detained

A 22-year-old man was found murdered at his house at Vidyanagar in Chikkajala police limits on Thursday. Police suspect that his father might have killed him. The deceased is Pashupati, a mason.
Police said the assailant had smashed his head with a boulder and tried to burn the body. They added that as per preliminary probe he had a fight with his father on Wednesday night. Police have detained his father.
