MEDAK:A six-year-old girl, who was taken away by her neighbour from her school on Wednesday, was found allegedly sexually assaulted, murdered and her body stuffed into a water pipeline on the roadside in Muthireddypally village of Manoharabad police circle in the district.Though the incident took place on Wednesday, it came to light on Thursday morning.

According to Manoharabad Circle Inspector of police (CI) G Lingeshwar Rao, the victim is the daughter of a worker who was employed at a private industry in Muthireddypally village. The worker hails from Bihar and had migrated to Telangana in search of livelihood. The couple had two chidren, a boy and a girl, who were studying at the local government school.

The accused, Dhanraj Bar alias Rahul, belongs to UP and he is also working in private company and he is neighbour of the victim’s family which made him close to the girl.On Wednesday after noon, Dhanraj Bar gone to government school and called the victim out of the school. Luring the girl with buying her sweets at a nearby shop, Dhanraj took the girl with her. The girl’s brother, who also studies at the same school, noticed the victim along with Dhanraj.

As teh girl did not return till late in the evening, her father based on th information of his son confronted Dhanraj but the latter evaded a reply.The villagers came to know about the missing of the girl and handed over Dhanraj to police. During initial interrogation, Dhanraj denied taking the girl from the school but later confessed to his crime.

Based on his confession, police recovered the body which was stuffed inside a water pipeline near the main road in the village. The body was shifted to government hospital for  post-mortem. Dhanraj told police that the girl died of suffocation as he gagged her mouth tightly so that her screams will not be heard to anyone. Police registered a case and investigation was on.
