BENGALURU: THE BJP has drawn up fresh plans to attack the Siddaramaiah government. The party is gearing up for a massive protest against the killing of BJP, RSS and Hindu activists. BJP legislators and leaders would take out a ‘Raj Bhavan Chalo’ march from Gandhi Statue on Vidhana Soudha to the Raj Bhavan on December 12 and submit a memorandum to Governor Vajubhai Vala seeking his intervention over the killing of 19 Hindu activists, including the killing of Paresh Mestha in Honnavar.

A BJP Core Committee meeting, chaired by party state president B S Yeddyurappa, finalised the agitation plans to corner the Siddaramaiah government over alleged deterioration in the law and order situation. The issue of killings of Hindu activists would also be raised in the Parliament seeking NIA probe. A massive protest rally would be held in Honnavar on December 18 under the leadership of Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Jagadish Shettar and his Council counterpart K S Eshwarappa, to highlight the failure of the Siddaramaiah government in arresting the killers of Hindu activists, BJP state general secretary Aravind Limbavali told reporters.

Navashakti rallies

The meeting also decided to sustain the momentum created by the ongoing Parivartana Yatra by organising ‘Navashakti Rallies’ in constituencies through which the yatra has already traversed. BJP National Secretary Arun Singh is set to tour the state and chair the meetings in Chitradurga, Davangere, Dharwad, Gadag and Bengaluru districts to review poll
