BENGALURU: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has accused the BJP of trying to stoke communal violence. Hitting out at BJP MP Pratap Simha, the Chief Minister said, “It seems Pratap Simha has no commonsense.” Siddaramaiah condemned Simha’s alleged attempt to break the police cordon by driving his car through the barricade.
Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Siddaramaiah said, “We will not allow communal violence under any circumstances. We too are in favour of celebrating Hanuman Jayanti. We have no objection to allow the procession on the route assigned by the police. Violence in Hunsur erupted because the police declined permission to take out the procession on a different route.”
