Inspired by the record made by George, a Keralite by peeling three coconuts in five minutes in 1996, he started practising peeling the husk of coconuts using his teeth. He practised for four years and set his first record in 2000.Going down the memory lane, he said: “I was impressed looking at the performance of George.

I tried hard to break a world record. While practising, I found this very challenging and suffered from neck, jaw and shoulder pain. But I did not give up and continued my practice. Today, I have the potential to de-husk around 45 coconuts in a minute and capacity to lift maximum weight of 80 kg using my teeth.”

In order to improve his physique, he is engaged in yoga, facial exercise and other fitness exercises for the last two decades, at least for one-and-a-half-hours every day. “I use herbal paste, mouth wash, neem stick and other plants stems which helps to keep my teeth strong. I avoid eating sweets to protect any tooth decay. Dentists have certified that I have strong teeth,” he adds.He wants to bring out a book ‘Karnataka Book of Records’, featuring details of achievers in the state. He has collected details of nearly 80 achievers so far. The 150-page book will be released in January 2018.
