BENGALURU: Three days after a passenger died in a bus fire near Nelamangala, one more woman died of injuries at Victoria Hospital on Friday . Mamatha (31) had suffered 80 per cent burn injuries when a fire broke out in a KSRTC bus bound for Bengaluru around 12 midnight on Tuesday.
Of the 37 passengers in the bus, Bhagyamma, a resident of Peenya, died after she was stuck in the bus while trying to escape. Her five-year-old son Yeshwanth is still undergoing treatment at Victoria hospital.
A source said, “Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy has announced `5 lakh compensation and and an additional `15,000 to family members.”

History-sheeter who molested air hostess held
Banaswadi police on Friday arrested a 24-year-old man, who had allegedly molested an air hostess in HRBR Layout on the night of February 12.

The accused is identified as Prem Kumar, resident of Marutiseva Nagar. Police said, the victim had gone to a food stall at HRBR Layout, when a bike-borne miscreant pulled her shirt and fled from the scene. Kumar on the incident day had stolen a bike from Frazer town and while heading back, he committed the act. According to police, Kumar is a history-sheeter, who was involved in many thefts. Cases have been registered against him in Banaswadi and Indiranagar police stations
