BENGALURU: Another molestation case in the city on Friday morning has added to the outrage over such incidents. The victim in Friday’s case is a 25-year-old woman working as sales assistant in a grocery startup. The burqa-clad woman also suffered injuries during the attack.

According to Kadugondanahalli (K G Halli) police, the alleged molestation incident occurred between 6.15 and 6.25 am, as the woman was heading towards the bus stop. The woman, a resident of Vinoba Nagar, was walking along Govindapura Main Road, near Arabic College, to reach the Outer Ring Road junction at Nagawara.

After walking almost half the way, an unidentified youth came from behind, whispered ‘Don’t shout’ in Urdu and grabbed her. The woman quickly raised an alarm which caught the attention of locals nearby and the attacker fled before pushing her down, police said.

“The girl regularly takes the stretch to catch a bus to Koramangala, where she is employed. On Friday, the youth followed and allegedly molested her, resulting in some injuries. While the injuries on her tongue were self-inflicted due to shock and fear, minor injuries to her arm and leg were caused as the accused pushed the victim to the ground,” K G Halli police said.

A complaint was filed by the woman at K G Halli police station on Friday afternoon.
This incident, like the Kammanahalli molestation one, was captured by a CCTV camera placed at a house. Footage showed the girl being stalked.
