ATHANI: A police team led by Gokak DySP Veerbhadraiah on Saturday brought three people accused in the assault on Congress worker Vivek Shetty, to Ugar Khurdh village in Raibag taluk to recover the items used in the attack.

MLA Raju Kage’s brother Siddagouda Kage, Prasankumar Kage and vehicle driver Bahubali Chougala took the police team to Kage’s house, a godown and victim Shetty’s house. The police team recovered a knife and sticks used for attacking Shetty, which will be presented as a material evidence in the case.

Kage and 13 others, allegedly attacked Shetty at his residence on January 1 and the incident came to light on January 8.
