BJP and Brigade are different entities: Kalaburagi party meet

State general secretary Aravind Limbavali denied any possibility of Shah meeting both Yeddyurappa and Eshwarappa.

BENGALURU: The rift between state BJP chief B S Yeddyurappa and senior leader and vocal proponent of the Sangolli Rayanna Brigade K S Eshwarappa came to the fore during the party’s state executive committee meeting in Kalaburagi on Saturday.

However, during the official briefing, state general secretary Aravind Limbavali denied any possibility of Shah meeting both Yeddyurappa and Eshwarappa. He said differences of opinion were bound to surface during any meeting.

He added that Shah had ruled out any change in the list of office-bearers and that it was final. When asked if action would be taken against the leaders of Rayanna Brigade, Limbavali said that the issue of Rayanna Brigade is likely to figure on Sunday too as Eshwarappa is scheduled to attend a meeting of the brigade in Kalaburagi soon after the executive committee meeting.

Earlier, when happenings inside the meeting turned dramatic and mediapersons rushed, Muralidhar Rao barred them entry and said the decisions taken would be briefed later.
