Minor pushes girl off building in Karnataka's Mandya

While the accused is a student of class nine, the victim is a student of seventh standard at a school in Mandya taluk.

MANDYA ; A minor girl was pushed from the third floor of the school building by a class 9 student as the girl refused to respond to his advances. The incident took place on March 16. Both students study in Vishwamanava Residential School in Mandya, managed by Sri Adichunchanagiri Trust. 

According to the complaint registered by the girl, the boy has been harassing her from last one year. Despite complaining to the headmistresses several times, she allegedly failed to take action.

On March 16, the boy took the victim to the third floor of the building and asked her to accept his love. When the girl refused, he reportedly pushed her, in a fit of rage.

The girl, who sustained multiple injuries, underwent treatment at a private hospital in Mysuru and was discharged on March 23. Plastic surgery has been performed for her facial correction and most of her teeth are broken. She is also suffering from multiple fractures.

Mandya Rural sub-inspector Anand Kumar said they have registered a case and investigation is underway. The boy has not been interrogated yet.
