State BJP keen on getting Yogi for 2018 campaigning

BENGALURU: Keen to pool all its resources to realise ‘Mission 150’ in the 2018 Assembly election, Karnataka BJP wants to rope in Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for campaigning.

The party’s state leadership, which suffered a major setback in the recent bypolls in Gundlupet and Nanjangud assembly segments, is making all its efforts to galvanise the rank and file to win the 2018 assembly poll. “We want to tap the popularity of Yogi Adityanath to woo voters,” a senior party leader and former minister told Express.

According to the leader, the request has been made with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President Amit Shah. “We are expecting a favourable response soon.”
