Three engineering students killed in Karnataka as car turns turtle

This is the second accident in Kalaburagi in the last 12 hours. In the first accident at Nedalgi village of Jewargi taluk, five persons were killed.

KALABURGI: Three engineering students were killed and two others sustained serious injuries when the car they were travelling in turned turtle on Sedam Road on the outskirts of Kalaburagi city, late on Monday night.    

The deceased have been identified as Sharanabasava (22), Prateek (22) and Pratyaksha (22). Police sources said that the five students were returning to Kalaburagi from Geetanagar. The injured have been admitted in a private hospital here. Police said the students were studying in PDA Engineering College in Kalaburagi. A case has been registered at University Police Station.
