Hearing on doctors’ strike adjourned

The High Court on Monday adjourned the hearing of PILs filed against the doctors’ strike over the KPME Bill to January 2.

BENGALURU: The High Court on Monday adjourned the hearing of PILs filed against the doctors’ strike over the KPME Bill to January 2. Some of the petitioners have sought directions to probe into the death of patients due to non-availability of timely medical services because of the strike.

They also demanded that the errant doctors be punished.
Observing that it is required to examine the framed guidelines on the matter,  the division bench of acting Chief Justice H G Ramesh and Justice P S Dinesh Kumar adjourned the hearing.
