MYSURU: Throw away the ‘commission’ government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said here on Monday and added that the state needs a ‘mission’ government under the BJP to ensure all-round development.

Modi said the state will continue to suffer and be looted as long as it (Congress) stays in office. “Congress has ruined the state and people will teach them a lesson in these elections,” he said.Addressing a mammoth rally at Maharaja’s college grounds, Modi alleged that the state failed to use its funds as their priority is to keep Delhi bosses warm to save their chairs, and are not interested in development. Though one party and one family ruled the country for nearly five decades, four crore families still struggle to make both ends meet, he said.

Later, at a BJP workers’ gathering, Modi started his address in Kannada cheering the huge gathering.
In what may improve train connectivity between Mysuru and other cities, Modi dedicated Mysuru-Bengaluru electrified line and flagged off  ‘Palace Queen Humsafar Express’ connecting Mysuru and Udaipur in Rajasthan.

Modi who was accompanied by Governor Vajubhai Vala, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah waved a green flag, even as the bedecked ‘Palace Queen’ train chugged off from Platform 1 at the city railway station.
