Panel submits reports on Bengaluru to CM, DyCM

The committee’s tenure will come to an end on Saturday.

BENGALURU: Members of the BBMP Restructuring Committee, headed by retired IAS officer B S Patil, on Thursday met Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Deputy CM G Parameshwara, and re-submitted their reports. The committee’s tenure will come to an end on Saturday.

In November 2014, the Siddaramaiah government, which was keen on bifurcating the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) into multiple corporations, had constituted the committee with Patil as chairman, and retired IAS officer Siddaiah (also former BBMP Commissioner), urban expert V Ravichandar and IAS officer V Manivannan as its members. Committee member Ravichandar said they made a presentation to the CM and DyCM.
