BENGALURU: Congress MLC CM Lingappa, who was seen as the rebel face of Congress in Ramanagara assembly constituency has been drafted into the campaign team of the party for Ballari Lok Sabha by-poll.
Lingappa’s son Chandrashekar, who quit the party recently, has entered the poll fray as the BJP candidate of Ramanagara assembly constituency. Lingappa had strongly opposed the Congress-JD(S) alliance and had even raised a banner of revolt against the party leadership.
KPCC President Dinesh Gundu Rao has now appointed him as the in-charge of Congress camp office in Ballari.
