National Committee for Protection of Natural Resources (NCPNR) has demanded that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should reject applications for regularisation of lands made against Karnataka Land Revenue (KLR) Act, 1964.

According to the KLR Act-1964, an area within 18 km of municipal or metropolitan corporations cannot be regularised.

President of NCPNR S R Hiremath  on Tuesday, accused the tahsildars of five taluks and the Deputy Commissioners of Bangalore Urban district of openly and illegally regularising thousands of acres of high priced lands within 18 km of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike.
