GURUVAYUR: Guruvayur Devaswom Employees Congress observed the Kerala Piravi Dinam and 78th anniversary of Guruvayur Temple Entry Satyagraha here on Sunday.

Opposition leader Oommen Chandy inaugurated the celebration and paid floral tributes at the Satyagraha Memorial on Sathram complex premises on Sunday morning.

T N Prathapan MLA presided over the meet. Former MP V M Sudheeran released the souvenir of the temple entry satyagraha anniversary by handing over the first copy to former devaswom chairman P T Mohana Krishnan. Renowned writer M Leelavathi, Acharya C P Nair, and photographer and writer Pepitha Seth were honoured at the meet. KPCC general secretary P T Ajay Mohan, A P Anil Kumar MLA, Devaswom Employees Congress general secretary T V Krishnadas, convenor T K Gopalakrishnan, souvenir editor K Pradeep Kumar also present.
