KOCHI: Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan will inaugurate the first phase of Kerala’s third IT Park, the Koratty Infopark, on October 10. Revenue Minister K P Rajendran will preside over the function.

Industry Minister Elamaram Kareem, Water Resources Minister N K Premachandran, Transport Minister Jose Thettayil and Devaswom Minister Kadannapally Ramachandran will participate.

Infopark CEO Siddhartha Bhattacharya said the allotment for Koratty Infopark Phase 1 (about 40,000 sq ft across seven buildings), launched in January 2009, is 90 percent complete, with 13 companies buying space to set up office, employing about 500 professionals.

The companies setting up office in Koratty Infopark are Bluelabs Technology Solutions, Braddock Infotech, Cent Technologies, Infoprism Solutions, Advaya Infotech, Scienetic Technologies, Mulberry Technologies, Sahradaya Infotech, Glitz IT Solutions, Sans Infotech, Guidelines Softnet Technologies, Exar Software Research and Gem Management.

The Koratty Infopark is a viable investment opportunity for IT companies, with access to the National Highway, uninterrupted power, cost effective, reliable infrastructure, single window clearance/ services and green-Keralainspired high-quality workspace.

Leading educational institutions, schools of international standards and reputed hospitals are also in the proximity of the IT Park, ensuring easy access to major talent pool and other amenities.

“We have incorporated the green-building concept in the design of the buildings to blend with the existing architecture of the place and thus providing a beautiful and inspiring atmosphere for a successful professional life,” said Bhattacharya.

Due to the demand for space at the Koratty Infopark, it has been decided to advance the development work on the second phase from 2010 to October 2009.

We also plan to offer developed plots on lease to interested co-developers in the second phase, he said.

The third phase of the park development will also be open to private builders in the State. The Park will have a direct employment potential of about 6,000 IT professionals. The Koratty Infopark will tap the talent and entrepreneur skills in and around Thrissur.

The park, developed on 30 acres, at the end of the second phase will have building space of about 70,000 sq ft with plug and play facilities.
