ANGAMALY:  Viswajyothi CMI Public School here is spruced up to host the

Sahodaya CBSE State Kalotsav 2011.

The three-day Kalotsav, ‘Fest of the Best’ is being organised by the confederation of 16 Sahodaya Complexes in Kerala.“At least 7,000 students representing over 500 CBSE schools will compete in 150 events, starting from Thursday,” principal Fr Varghese Kachappilly said at a press conference here.

The construction of 23 stages is nearing completion on the school campus. Food will be prepared by renowned cook Pazhayidam Mohanan. Accommodation will be provided for the participants of the festival. A spacious parking area has been earmarked as more than 10,000 people are expected to throng the venue.

K P Dhanapalam MP, Jose Thettayil MLA, actor Salim Kumar and CMI Congregation Provincial Fr Jose Alex Oruthayappilly will jointly inaugurate the fest on Thursday. Social Welfare Minister M K Muneer will be the chief guest. Union minister K V Thomas will be the Guest of Honour on Friday. Filmmaker Sibi Malayil, actress Reema Kallingal and V D Satheesan MLA will distribute the prizes to the winners on Saturday.

The students and organisers will take out rallies from Perumbavoor, Aluva and Chalakudy on Wednesday, as a curtain raiser to the CBSE Kalotsav.

The rallies will converge at CSA auditorium here and will later proceed to Angamaly junction.

The school management, parents, teachers, students and the public are all working hand in hand for the success of the largest festival of CBSE students in the state.
