The BJP has called for a high-level thorough enquiry into the series of murders allegedly committed with the connivance of the CPM leadership in Kannur, so as to bring to book not only the murderers but the big leaders who played behind the curtains.
Inaugurating the public meeting organised in connection with the Balidan Divas (Martyrdom Day) observance of K T Jayakrishnan Master, BJP state president V Muraleedharan alleged that both the LDF and the UDF compromised in all serious cases that had the involvement of top CPM leaders.
Recent incidents prove that the CPM leaders are still treading the dangerous path of murder politics. Not only the murderers, but the leaders who conspired from behind the curtains should also be brought to book, Muraleedharan demanded.
“But the Congress and the CPM are playing a dirty game in all the major cases including the murder of K T Jayakrishnan Master, the Marad case and in T P Chandrashekharan murder case,” he alleged.
Both the UDF and LDF are controlled from behind by the same mafia of quarry sharks, forest encroachers, lottery barons, terrorists and land sharks.
So their response to these cases is the same and together they conspire to undermine enquiries, Muraleedharan said.
He repeated his party’s demand for a CBI inquiry into the Jayakrishnan Master murder case in the light of the recent revelations. Earlier, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) took out a massive rally in commemoration of K T Jayakrishnan Master on Sunday afternoon here which is widely seen as the show of strength of the party leadership in the wake of recent dissidence in the party in the district. The dissidents had floated Namo Vichar Manch recently and held a convention here last week.
