Ignoring the protestsof a section of leaders in the state, BJP national leadershiphas decided in favour of a second term for party Kerala unitpresident V Muraleedharan.
BJP sources said a message to this effect was receivedat the party headquarters here Monday.
Following the opposition of a dominant section ofleaders, BJP national secretary Muralidhar Rao had helddiscussions with leaders of the state unit here on February16. He had met core committee members of the state unit andelicited their opinion to reach a consensus on the choice ofa new state president.
Muraleedharan told reporters that the party will carryforward its organisational activities in the state unitedlyand in a cordial atmosphere.
