Kalabhabhishekam was conducted on the third day of the Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season on Monday.
The special ritual was held during the Uchcha pooja under the leadership of Thantri Kandararu Maheswararu in the presence of Melsanthi P N Narayanan Namboothiri.
As part of the ritual, Thantri conducted Kalabhakalasa pooja at the Mandapam of the temple at 11.30 am. The ritual concluded with Kalabhabhishekam on the idol of Lord Ayyappa after the procession carrying Kalabhakalasam led by the Thantri and Melsanthi by circumambulating the Sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
