I was not abused: Saritha

Saritha S Nair, one of the accused in the Solar scam, has denied allegations that she was sexually abused by politicians and police officers.

She told this to reporters while being produced before the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Friday.

“I was not abused by anyone and there is no such video clippings. But I will reveal information about some other people in the case. I will do this when the right time comes,” Saritha said.

When produced before the court, Saritha requested the Magistrate to take her oral complaint over the recent controversy.

However, the Magistrate told her to give the complaint through her counsel and allowed her counsel to talk to her for 10 minutes.

After speaking to her, counsel submitted before the court that he would visit the jail and take her written complaint.

Later she was remanded in judicial custody.

She was also produced before the Ernakulam Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (Economic Offences) who remanded her in judicial custody.

Jacob Mathew, advocate of another accused in the case, Biju Radhakrishnan, had told reporters other day that he would release video tapes of VIPs sexually abusing Saritha.

The advocate of Biju Radhakrishnan had claimed that he had tapes of Union Minister K C Venugopal, Kerala Tourism Minister A P Anilkumar, former minister K B Ganesh Kumar and Crime Branch IG M R Ajithkumar.

All these persons have denied the allegations and demanded release of the tapes.
