The information centre of 'The New Indian Express' was opened at Media Centre at Pampa on Sunday.
Travancore Devaswom Board member P K Kumaran inaugurated the centre by lighting traditional lamp 'kuthuvilakku' offered by Pampa Melsanthi Unnikrishnan Nampoothiri.
Addressing the gathering, P K Kumaran highlighted the role of media in a democratic society.
Complimenting the newspaper, the TDB member stressed the part played in strengthening democracy through its network of publications.
Assistant General Manager (Kerala) P Suresh Kumar, Assistant General Manager (Sales) Vishnukumar and Pampa Devaswom Manager Sadasivan Nair were present on the occasion.
