Agricultural Development Committee, formed for the the development of the farm sector, has been reconstituted to ensure better functioning.
The state-level development committee has been reconstituted with representatives of farmers organisations, agricultural workers organisations, agricultural workers belonging to SC and ST, coconut farmers, women farmers and political representatives. Ayathil Appukkuttan of Kisan Janata (Socialist Janata Democratic), Kulakkada Raju of Kerala Karshaka Union, K S Rajan of Karshaka Morcha, Raveendran Nair of Kisan Janata (Janata Dal Secular), Raju Pulimootil of Kerala Pradesh Karshaka Cong (I) and V Chamunni of Akhilendhya Kisan Sabha are the representatives of farmers organisations. K V Narayanan Nair is the representative of agricultural workers organisations.
