The Nair Service Society on Tuesday distanced from the developments in the KC(B) terming it as an internal matter of the party. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy also refused to comment on the issue and alleged that the resignation was a creation of the media.
But political observers felt that as Ganesh did not submit his resignation letter to the Speaker directly, the whole drama was intended to put pressure on UDF and Chandy to the hilt.
Opposition deputy leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, RSP leader and former minister N K Premachandran termed it as a drama.
Congress MLA K Muraleedharan also expressed doubts over the seriousness of the resignation.
