Aadhaar enrolment process in the district has reached 85.65 percent so far. Indicating that the concerted effort initiated by the district administration over a month yielded desired results, the number of persons enrolled for Aadhaar has reached 16,93,065 in the district as of Wednesday.
The facilities and arrangements will be put in place by the administration to enhance its measures to provide Aadhaar cards to all the people and to rectify its shortcomings.
According to the authorities, the applicants can verify the status of their Aadhaar or NPR (National Population Register) number online. The administration has made alternative arrangements for the public to verify the status of their Aadhaar cards and to download the card. Applicants can contact the nearest Akshaya centre with the enrolment slip to download Aadhaar cards.
