In a scathing attack on P C George, KPCC general secretary Satheesan Pacheni has said that the Chief Whip, who is playing dirty games with the Opposition to destabilise the Oommen Chandy government, should be mercilessly thrown out. Inaugurating the third day of DCC president K Surendran’s district campaign at Therthally near Alakkode on Tuesday, the KPCC general secretary alleged that P C George was doing spy work for the LDF to scuttle the UDF Government.

“But the CPM’s secret plans to bring down the government using George, the ‘Shakuni’ of Kerala politics, did not succeed,” Satheesan Pacheni said. “The LDF has been trying to topple the government since the day the UDF assumed power. They even tried to tarnish the image of Oommen Chandy. Despite all this, the government gained more popularity through its popular initiatives. Disillusioned, the CPM is now conspiring with George to find new ways to depose Oommen Chandy ministry,” he alleged.

Congress block president Thomas Vakathanam presided over the function. The day’s campaign ended with a public meeting at Ulikkal. The campaign will resume on Wednesday with a meeting at Kottiyur, which will be inaugurated by T Siddique.

KPCC spokesman Rajmohan Unnithan will inaugurate the final meeting of the fourth day of campaign at Iritty.
