Three persons were killed and 17 others seriously injured in a head-on collision between an ambulance and a KSRTC bus near Vamanapuram bridge on the MC Road on Saturday. The deceased had been identified as Krishnankutty, 58, of Kottarakkara, Vishnu of Kottarakkara and a new-born baby.
The bodies of Krishnankutty, Vishnu and the baby are kept in the Gokulam Medical College Hospital in Venjaramoodu.
Vishnu, the driver of the Kottarakkara taluk hospital ambulance, reportedly lost control over the vehicle and rammed into the oncoming KSRTC bus.
According to Venjaramoodu CI, the ambulance was carrying a new-born baby to the SAT Hospital here as referred by doctors of Kottarakkara Taluk hospital where the baby was born. ENS
