Finance Minister K M Mani on Tuesday gave sanction to allot State Government’s share of Rs 234 crore for the Kochi Metro Rail project. Earlier, the State Government had allotted Rs 107.50 crore for the project.
The State Government had earmarked in the budget a token amount of Rs 50,000 for the Kochi Metro and now the money has been allotted from Infrastructure Development Fund considering the need to speed up the project, the Finance Minister said.
