The 26-day-long Kerala Raksha March of the CPM entered Kollam district on Monday and  was given receptions at Oachira, Karunagappaly, Sasthamkotta, Idappallikotta and Kollam QAC.

The march will be in the district till February 7 and it will be accorded receptions   at Mukkada, Chathannoor, Kadakkal, Punalur, Pathanapuram and Kottarakkara.  At the reception accorded at Kollam QAC, Pinarayi Vijayan presented ‘ponnada’ to the parents of party martyrs Sunil Kumar and Muhammad Shereif.

Earlier, at a press conference held at Karunagappally in connection with the reception accorded to the march there, Pinarayi Vijayan said that the party was not afraid of any probe and ready to face any investigation in the wake of K K Rema’s indefinite fast  seeking a CBI probe into the TP murder case.

“An alliance was formed to destroy the CPM in the state and the protest by Rema demanding CBI probe into the TP murder case is a part of it. It was when Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan was the Home Minister that TP was murdered and Rema had expressed her satisfaction over the progress of the investigation at that time. Now, Thiruvanchoor has joined hands with her and the venue of her protest has turned out to be a meeting place of all anti-CPM forces,’’ Pinarayi said.

He said the UDF Government has destroyed Kerala and the people are up in arms against the government.
