CEA Award for ScHARR Lecturer

Dr Padam Simkhada, senior lecturer in international health at the University of Sheffield’s School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) was awarded the CEA Award of Global Health Research for his contribution to the field of global research at a special ceremony at the Mahatma Gandhi University.

Dr Padam Simkhada, senior lecturer in international health at the University of Sheffield’s School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) was awarded the CEA Award of Global Health Research for his contribution to the field of global research at a special ceremony at the Mahatma Gandhi University. Born in Nepal, Dr Simkhada is helping to improve the quality of health research among higher education institutions in low-income countries. He has previously worked for Save the Children and the Ministry of Health in Nepal and is a visiting professor at the Pokhara University and Trivhuan University in Nepal and Adjunct Faculty for Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Science in Nagpur, India.

An established researcher, Dr Simkhada has published over 70 research articles in national and international scientific journals on issues including reproductive and sexual health, migration and sex trafficking and maternal and child health.
