Social activist Rahul Easwar on Sunday said that there is a conspiracy to defame the Mata Amritanandamayi Ashram in the wake of a book written by a former disciple of Amritanandamayi. He was speaking after inaugurating a protest meet organised by the Mata Amritanandamayi Seva Samiti and devotees at Thekkinkad Maidan here.
It is important to protest against such evil designs of the detractors of Mata, he said. G Mahadevan, RSS Thrissur Mahanagar Sangchalak, who presided over the meeting, also said that the allegations against the ashram were part of a conspiracy to defame Mata.
