IDUKKI: Water level in the Mullaperiyar dam crossed the 136 ft mark to reach 136.3 ft on Saturday. 136 ft was the height maintained by Kerala for last few years until last year till Supreme Court allowed Tamil Nadu to raise the height to 142 ft. Tamil Nadu was drawing water at 456 cft per second whereas the inflow was 1,916 cft per second, said an official of Tamil Nadu PWD.
The catchment area received a rainfall of 13 mm. Water level of Idukki reservoir touched 2,382.28 ft against its full level of 2,403 ft which is 76.68 per cent of the dam.
